Scattershooting while wondering Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow:
- Good news from Louisiana: Democratic state representative Don Cazayoux won the special election Saturday for the congressional seat formerly held by Republican Richard Baker, defeating Woody Jenkins 49%-46%. He managed to score an impressive win in a district that went for Bush heavily in the last two presidential elections. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come this fall.
- People dialing a mistyped phone number that appears on 1.7 million voter pamphlets issued by the Oregon Secretary of State's office are in for a surprise: instead of getting the surly bureaucrat they expected, they'll get to talk to hot, horny girls who are just waiting for their call. Well, okay, they'll get to talk to fat, middle-aged phone operators with sexy voices pretending to be hot, horny girls, but you get the point. (via Letters from Texas)
- Donors who previously backed Democratic candidates that have dropped out of the race are donating to Barack Obama by a 3-1 ratio over Hillary Clinton and giving him twice as much money as her, according to an LA Times report. (via The Page)
