Chris Matthews tells it like it is

Matthews has gotten a lot of flack from the blogosphere in the past about some of the things he's said, and deservedly so, but at least in the context of his handling of Bush's "appeasement" remarks, he's been right on the money.  I just wonder where this Chris Matthews has been for the last seven years or so.

Of all the talking heads filling air time on our news networks, Chris Matthews is probably the most frustrating one of the whole lot.  His enthusiasm for politics can be at times endearing, at other times aggravating; he can be really pigheaded at times, and often says some dreadfully stupid things, but then there are times like this one, when he manages to redeem himself by giving a verbal ass-whipping to someone who truly deserves it.  I'm reminded of the time that he mopped the floor with Michelle Malkin for trying to push the lie that John Kerry's war wounds were self-inflicted.  This time, he tears apart Kevin James, a Republican talk radio host and screaming jackass, for repeating the right-wing talking point du jour comparing Barack Obama to Neville Chamberlain.  This is truly a thing of beauty:
